Disappointments of Life

I am kind of used now to do long distance travels and sleep almost all the time in flight and only open eyes when the crew calls me for my special veggie items. God bless them for supplying all the things on a just ring. That apart finally had a safe journey and reached the destinations; we as human have some expectations from our families
I loved always giving my family the surprises once when I was in Dhaka I just landed in Hyderabad without intimation and went straight to my sister’s office. That was hilarious too as she got a shock that day. I normally do not inform at home and trouble them to come to see me off and receive me when I come back from my business trips. I manage on my own.
This time the same happened I went home with out any intimation. The response was very cold. I am a personality who cannot see the dirty house. After 20 hours of long journey and 3 hours of journey from Bangalore I reach home and my maid was very exited to see me more than anyone. She came running to me took my luggage from my hands and she helped me clearing things at home and clean all the rooms with in limited time. My mind always ringed that my loved ones are not so happy that I am home.
I am not being judgmental about anyone here. As they were more worried about a little one in the family who was not keeping well. My mom’s attention was totally on him she did not even ask me if I had nice time and how was my stay there. I forced myself to tell about my uncle and family whom I met in USA. She barely heard me while I was chanting all the mantras. I am sure all these must have sounded her as if I am just wasting her time.
All good I decided to leave home after a while ask me then what happened. I burst into tears and mom could not just believe how I felt all those while until she witnessed my tears. I told her not to come till bus station to even; she came with the little one and maid. Mom was really in panic situation as in front of her there are so many things. For a little while she did not understood quiet how it feels. She kept quiet and let me cry. Then she said I am totally occupied about little one’s health. I was really not convinced with that answer and I travelled three hours in a bus with almost struggling mindset.
That was my welcome note after my short business trip to USA. Hope and pray no one comes across this situation for any reason.

OFFICIAL VISITS…
Going on an onsite assignments was always hectic and last minute rushing. One thing I must cherish is that I always got opportunities to meet my family members where ever I went. This time US trip is another memorable both in personal and professional front. I had nice hectic days at office and got to learn a lot from the point of view of work culture. Got a chance to meet all the colleagues in the other side of the globe. Meeting reporting director here was awesome.
On an entirely different note met my uncle who is here in 20 min drive distance. It was always great to meet them here and cherish family incidents with them.

Its time to almost wind up things here and return back to home. I am looking forward for that too. Packing and getting ready for a day journey back to India and start getting adjusted to time and then meet mom dad and chinnodu friends back in Bangalore. Wow its awesome experience. I must thank with out fail the lord almighty and then the people who have supported me to get things all in place in short time span. Then people who took care of me when I was unwell special thanks to my all colleagues who always gave me immense support at work and made sure i reach hotel safe.

New fruit I tasted here in US- Persimmon
Sweet, delicious persimmon fruits are rich in health promoting nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants that are vital for optimum health. Botanically, the fruit belongs to the family of Ebenaceae of the genus: Diospyros; scientifically named as Diospyros virginiana.
This delicate oriental fruit is native of china. It spread to Japan very long ago and later was introduced to California during the middle of nineteenth century.
Persimmon is a multi-trunked or single-stemmed deciduous tree which grows up to 25 ft. in height. They grow best in areas that have moderate winters and relatively mild summers.
Health benefits of persimmon fruit
The fruit is low in calories (provides 70 cal/100g) and fats but is rich source of dietary fiber.
Persimmons contain many health benefiting phyto-nutrients flavonoid poly-phenolic anti-oxidants like catechins and gallocatechins as well as important anti-tumor compound betulinic acid. Catechins are known to have anti-infective, anti-inflammatory and anti-hemorrhagic (prevents bleeding from small blood vessels) properties.

Fresh permissions contain anti-oxidant compounds like vitamin-A, beta carotene, lycopene, lutein, zeaxanthin and cryptoxanthin. These compounds functions as protective scavengers against oxygen-derived free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a role in aging and various disease processes.
zeaxanthin, an important dietary carotenoid, selectively absorbed into the retinal macula lutea in the eyes where it is thought to provide antioxidant and protective light-filtering functions; thus, helps prevent "Age related macular disease"(ARMD) in the elderly.
The fruits are also very good source of vitamin-C, another powerful antioxidant (especially native Chinese and American persimmons; provide 80% of DRI). Regular consumption of foods rich in vitamin C helps body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful, pro-inflammatory free radicals.
The fruit is good in many valuable B-complex vitamins such as folic acid, pyridoxine (vitamin B-6), thiamin...etc. This vitamin acts as co-factors for numerous metabolic enzymatic functions in the body.
Fresh Persimmon fruits also contain healthy amounts of minerals like potassium, manganese (15% of DRI), copper (12% of DRI) and phosphorus. Manganese is a co-factor for the enzyme superoxide dismutase, which is a very powerful free radical scavenger. Copper is a co-factor for many vital enzymes, including cytochrome c-oxidase and superoxide dismutase (other minerals function as cofactors for this enzyme are manganese and zinc). Copper is also required for the production of red blood cells.
Medicinal Values:

The raw fruit is used to treat constipation, hemorrhoids, and to stop bleeding. As such, it is not a good idea to consume too many persimmons at once- they can induce diarrhea.
The cooked fruit is used to treat diarrhea and dysentery

A special thanks to my chinnana and chinnamma for intriducing me to this new fruit which has so many nutritional values. Thanks to you both. GOD bless your garden and give you more and more fruits next year.

Time zone adjustments
I have been travelling this month during September to a different time zone which is extremely difficult. I landed here on 25th morning and was all good as it was sunny and went around few places the time count starts then where I found it hard to close my eyes and sleep without any disturbance. I finally went to sleep that night and got up in the middle of the night and did not know what I was doing where I was. I felt so hard to realize that I was in a different time zone which is then was very hard to get back to sleep.
I then on second day tried not to sleep during the day and that was still okay and finally the evening , it seems so hard to realize that that’s evening I need to go back to sleep was unimaginable. I tried again and got up so early it might sound odd for everyone. I felt that was mad though.
Now I am fine and I feel I am mentally ready now to work in different time zones. I am not sure when I get back to my own land again i need to cope up with that time zone, I hope I am going to be all fine and have a great journey back home. Pray for everyone who are facing the same difficulties.
